Creating activities
When an account is newly set up, there won’t be any Activities already in the column. Instructors will need to set up their own, and users will need to be assigned Activities
To create an activity:
1. Navigate to the Assigned Activities column (the righthand panel on the Dashboard) and click on the plus sign
2. Here you will be prompted to select the type of Activity to be created (a detailed account of Activity types is available below)
3. Enter an Activity name in the field above
4. Click create in the bottom right of the form
The types of activities:
Training tool: This is a type of Activity intended for user education, and will feature Tasks with a media file and a form. Users watch or listen to the media, input their observations on the Form, and receive instant feedback.
Case study: These feature similar settings and purpose to the Training Tool, but may instead be centred around just one case rather than many.
Assessment: Uses Tasks with preset settings that do not allow users to receive feedback. Assessments are for users to demonstrate a skill.
Peer Review: Allows users to upload media files. Users in the Group can see all the uploads made by others. User-submitted media is assignable to others for review, and will display under the uploading user’s information page.
File submission: File submission is similar to Peer Review in that users can upload a media file, but users can only see their own uploads.
Pre-activity: An Activity set by instructors that users must complete before being able to advance further.
